MASK CHANGING
Bian lian, or mask/face changing, is one of the most riveting forms of Chinese performance art. Originating in Sichuan during the Qing dynasty, mask-changing performers use specialised techniques to swap masks in the blink of an eye. The faces change so quickly that the audience is left in awe, watching one expression transform into another as if by magic.
Rex Teo, our founder, travelled to Chengdu, China to study this rare skill and has since performed for audiences at prestigious venues such as the Supreme Court of Singapore, Resorts World Sentosa and the Indonesian Chinese Clan Social Association. He has also showcased his talent on Mediacorp’s The Sheng Siong Show, bringing this traditional art to a national television audience.
Every mask-changing performance features colourful costumes, intricate masks and characters that express different emotions, creating a story that transcends language. WUSHU
Wushu is a martial art that combines strength, speed, flexibility, and artistry. The RexArts Wushu Team consists of practitioners who have trained in various bare-hand and weapon styles, including the long fist (changquan), spear, sword and cudgel. Many are distinguished athletes[e] and medalists with years of experience performing and competing.
Our Wushu routines are carefully choreographed to highlight the techniques and movements that make this sport so compelling. Each routine is a mix of fluid moves, explosive jumps and precise strikes, demonstrating the development of martial arts through time.

DRUM
A Chinese drum performance by RexArts Wushu sets the tone for any gathering. Our drummers use powerful rhythms and synchronised movement to deliver an act that commands attention. The deep, resonant sound of the drums creates a sense of unity, energising the audience and drawing them into the heartbeat of the performance.
Chinese drums are often paired with Wushu or lion dance, creating a dramatic opening for events such as Chinese New Year celebrations, corporate launches, or school festivals. The routine is designed to keep the audience engaged from the first beat to the last, with drummers displaying strength, coordination and control over every move.
Our drum team has performed in demanding conditions, completing up to 15 performances over six days. Their professionalism and consistency guarantee that your event will start on a powerful note.
FLAG ACROBATIC
Flag acrobatics bring colour, movement and spectacle to the stage. Our performers combine strength, balance and flexibility to execute daring stunts and intricate patterns. Using nimble arms, legs, and precise timing, they create a flowing display that symbolises unity and celebration.
