RexArts Wushu Delivers a Championship Performance at National Wushu Championships 2025

The National Wushu Championships 2025, held from 22nd to 25th November at Woodlands Sports Hall, witnessed exceptional performances from RexArts Wushu athletes.
Our students secured 20 gold medals, 4 silver medals, and 7 bronze medals across individual and team events, demonstrating the strength of their training and commitment to excellence.

Claudia Ng Sets the Standard
Claudia Ng delivered the most outstanding individual performance of the championship, claiming four gold medals across different disciplines. She dominated the Junior Group Female categories, winning 1st Set Nanquan (8.88), 1st Set Nandao (9.04), and 1st Set Nangun (9.06). Her fourth gold came as part of the RexArts Open Group Jiti team (8.92), demonstrating her ability to excel in both individual and team competitions. Claudia’s versatility across weapon and barehand forms reflects years of dedicated practice and technical refinement.
Youth Group Excellence from Caleb Ng Bin Rong
Caleb Ng Bin Rong showcased remarkable skill in the Youth Group Male division, securing altogether three gold medals and one silver. His gold medal performances came in 3rd Set Changquan (9.17) and 3rd Set Daoshu (9.27), demonstrating exceptional consistency with identical scores. He earned silver in 3rd Set Gunshu (9.17), maintaining the same high standard across all three forms. His third gold came as part of the RexArts Open Group Jiti team (8.92), proving his ability to excel in both individual and team competitions.
Triple Gold Success for Tan Hui En
Tan Hui En captured three gold medals, largely from the Junior Group Female categories. She excelled in 1st Set Gunshu (8.89) and 1st Set Daoshu (8.90), demonstrating mastery across both barehand and weapon forms. Her third gold came as part of the RexArts Open Group Jiti team (8.92). She also earned a silver medal in 1st Set Changquan (8.87), further highlighting the depth of her technical abilities and competitive readiness.
Aaron Lim Tian Long’s Strong Showing
Aaron Lim Tian Long secured two gold medals, one silver, and one bronze across individual and team events. His individual gold came in 1st Set Gunshu (9.09) for the Junior Group Male division, with his second gold as part of the RexArts Open Group Jiti team (8.92). He earned silver in 1st Set Changquan (8.82) and bronze in 1st Set Daoshu (8.90). Aaron’s performances across multiple forms demonstrated both power and precision, key attributes in competitive Wushu.
Rising Talent in Jade Tay
Jade Tay made her mark in the Children Group Female categories, winning gold in Elementary Daoshu (8.71) and silver in Elementary Gunshu (8.44). She also contributed to the RexArts Open Group Jiti team’s gold medal performance (8.92). Additionally, she placed 8th in Elementary Changquan (8.57), gaining valuable competitive experience. Her achievements across individual and team events indicate promising potential for future competitions.
Additional Individual Achievements

Several RexArts Wushu athletes made significant contributions to the championship results:
Tan Hong Han earned gold in 42 Movements Taijijian (8.74) for the Junior Group Male category, demonstrating his command of this advanced form. He also earned a bronze in 42 Movements Taijiquan (8.87).
Enzo Ong secured bronze in 1st Set Nanquan (8.83) and 1st Set Nangun (8.68) for the Junior Group Male division, while contributing to the Open Group Jiti team gold (8.92).
Darren Sim Zhi Hong claimed bronze in the Open Group Dui Lian event (8.46), showcasing his proficiency in paired routines, in addition to his involvement in the Open Group Jiti team gold (8.92).
Ng Jun Xiang earned bronze in Optional Nanquan (7.74) and Open Group Dui Lian (8.46) and contributed to the Jiti team gold medal (8.92).
Jonas Ong and Riki Sato both played integral roles in the Open Group Jiti team’s gold medal performance (8.92), demonstrating strong teamwork and synchronisation.
These performances reflect the depth of talent within RexArts Wushu, with athletes excelling across different categories and age groups.
Team Triumphs

RexArts Wushu’s collective strength shone through in team events. Our Open Group team claimed gold in the Group Event (8.92), showcasing seamless coordination and synchronisation. The team also secured bronze in the Duilian event (8.46), highlighting our athletes’ ability to perform complex partner routines under competitive pressure.
Recognising Every Participant
At RexArts Wushu, we believe in nurturing not only skilled athletes but also well-rounded individuals who demonstrate values like perseverance, discipline and heart. We extend our appreciation to all athletes who represented RexArts Wushu at this championship.
Special recognition goes to Hui Ren Ze, Lam Yan Cong Zamir, Lim Tian Yi Alexandra, Micah Tan Derui, Skylar Ho, Victoria Ong, and Wan Zhi Hym Isaac, who competed with determination and sportsmanship. Every competition experience contributes to an athlete’s growth, building resilience and character that extends beyond the competition floor.

These championship results validate our training philosophy at RexArts Wushu. Seeing athletes from our Children’s programme through to Open categories succeed on the national stage reminds us why we pour countless hours into perfecting each stance, refining every movement, and building resilient competitors. Each competition experience, whether it ends with a medal or valuable lessons learned, shapes an athlete’s journey. The National Wushu Championships 2025 has shown us where our athletes thrive and where we can guide them further.
